Quay Quarter Tower

The 200m high and 49-storey tower incorporates two-thirds of the structure of an existing reinforced concrete building, with the renovation and extension being composite structural steel increasing NLA to 90,000m2 NLA. Due to the unique geometry, existing structural stiffness and cantilevered design, the project also required a Tuned Mass Damper (TMD).

The TMD and structural steel grillage constructed by Gore Projects on the tower will increase the stability of this unique structure and ensure comfort for the occupants under heavy winds.
